why am i not thirsty anymore?

hi everyone,
my name is billyne ( i'm a newbie :p ) and i went 100% percent raw on jan 12th and i love the way i feel! i'm not as tired as i was before and i lost 6 pounds! but i just have one concern..i notice that i'm not thirsty. yesterday morning i thought to myself i need to make it a point to drink alot of water and completely forgot and didn't drink anything! :eek:
i know what i'm eating has a lot of water in it and i know i still should be drinking something--but if i don't will something bad happen?

Hi Billyne,

Congratulations on going raw!! You are doing great. Like you said, raw food (especially fruits) contain a lot more water than cooked food does, so raw foodists do not need to obtain as much water by drinking as SAD eaters do. Don't worry about it at all. Just let your body guide you, if you are thirsty, drink, if not, don't. It's that simple. :-)

I agree with Audrey! Just listen to your body- you get so much water through fruits! Before raw I would drink because I made it a point to drink and I drank very little at the time. Now I find myself not drinking half a day and then suddenly emptying a glass, not just sipping.. Go you for going raw!!

Congratulations on the raw step and feelin' so good.

I'm not thirsty anymore either. It threw me for a loop when I wasn't guzzling water and lemonade all day like I used too. I guess we get all the water we need by eating waterful foods. :) I don't "need" my water bottle anymore and I'm in the desert...

Since you haven't been raw long? DO drink, even though you're not thirsdy! It will help w/detox.
But yes, eating 100%, you are getting lots of water...
