Good morning everyone!
I thought not cooking would be a big issue for me, but it's actually very easy for me and I really have learned to enjoy it over the last 4 days. I am finding that when I have juice smoothies in the mornings, and vegatables in the afternoon, a big salad in the evening, I am so satisfied and don't even miss my SAD way of eating.
Yesterday I went to Trader Joes. I bought all types of frozen fruits ( berries, pineapple and strawberries) plus organic produce and other " raw" goodies. Compared to what I would normally spend on eating out ( quick-instant gratification-type-pull into Chilis and load up on junk, fare).. I feel like the money I spent on good quality "raw" foods saves me money in the end. Not to mention, I feel good about myself!
I have read so many encouraging posts on the boards-- I eat when I am hungry and I stop when I am full. It's really a miracle that I found Alissa's plan. I lived in Merrimack and Manchester New Hampshire for 5 years and know exactly where Alissa's restaurant is going to open in the "sqaure" in Portsmouth, NH! The place is truly magical! No coincidences that I stumbled along Alissa's path 1:00 am in the morning last week because I couldn't sleep and was watching all the shows I tivoed for the week. Tyra happened to be one of them. None of the other guests on the show made me sit straight up and take notice to what they were saying. Alissa looked clear eyed, serene and at peace. No yelling on her part like the other "diet coaches" ** I hate the word diet..... Anyway, she was calm..... and explained in like 3 minutes why a raw dies works and basically what it is.
Anyway, I am very grateful to be here today and so happy to be raw and have all of my food in order-- Eating healthy and paying attention to what I put in this body really makes a difference in my mental attitude! Sorry for my rambling.. I am just happy to be here today with all of you! :) :)
