Hi everybody.
I'm 25 from Washington. I decided to go raw about 3 days ago. Mainly because I just needed a drastic change in my life. I am basically sick and tired of being sick and tired. I expect it to be difficult because as a Mexican we are very meat and fried food based. Luckily my parents have been very supportive and went on a shopping spree for fruits, veggies and nuts after I told them I wanted to go raw. Along with going raw IÂ’ve started working out more and got to admit that all in all I am feeling awesome. Once again hi everybody!
The new raw food addict,

There's some Mexican food that's raw, such as guacamole. You can also get raw chocolate. I've had raw jicama. So grab a tomato and an avocado and see what you can make!

Welcome! Do a google search for "crunchy tacos" - fantastic.

My mom/stepdad live in Tacoma and my husband and I were married there 2 years ago. Love the area!!

Best of luck on the journey. I'm a little over 2 weeks in, and it's been life altering and SO rewarding.

One day at a time is the First Step you must make. It is a Journey, you will READ and Learn as you go. You will become Stronger and Wiser as time goes by and the days will become Months and the Months will become Years.

What a time in your Life to become RAW. You are aborting so many Health issues by starting so young. I am so Proud of you. You are also teaching your Parents something, they are so willing to help you and in return they will be helping themselves because they WILL be eating More RAW.

Arm yourself with Alissa's Book, you can order it from this site. You MUST READ all you can about RAW. What about doing the 30 day Challenge? That's always a Good way to Dive in..........

I wish you everything you need to Stay RAW.....Welcome to MY World....

Thanks for the encouraging words! I'm on my 5th RAW day and I feel good. I resisted my 1st major temptation, which was chocolate chip cookies. I like the way they smelled when my mom took them out of my oven but when I saw them I wasnt even tempted to have one. Smelling them was satisfying enough!! I feel lighter, not in poundage really but more like I dont have the sick full feeling in my stomach. I plan on getting Alissa's book soon. I don't plan on weighting myself as I find it to be very discouraging when you base everything on numbers. I do have quite a bit to lose however. Okay now I'm just doing excited babbling now. :)

HI and welcome.. I'm mexican too so I know what you mean about the "traditional mexican diet".... honestly though, I find it gets easier the longer you do it and before long you'll actually be craving fruits and greens!

you're doing great.. keep it up!
