Anybody here past menopause have any suggestions for a good organic natural progesterone cream? I had intercourse for the first time in a LONG time last night and my gosh, it was like being a virgin again. I think my vagina is shrinking. It was quite painful. Help? Maybe I need some hormones?

Any other advice from anyone past menopause for addressing this issue? :p

Hey there :D

I have never heard of that cream before but if you have a pharmacy or a drug store close by check out there selection of feminine lubrication's. They are normally located with the vaginal creams and boxes of condoms.
Using lube usually does the trick. I wouldn't recommend any at home treatments because I don't know anything that is PH balanced. Beware of what you use down there  Itchy picky is never fun!!! :o

I'm 52 so I know the problem well. My husband and I went through a period when we did not use it. To busy and tried. When you don't use it you lose it. The body will naturally produce it own lub when you use it often, it depends on your frequency. Buy a water base thick lub. You cannot buy the good lub from the local drug stores. I know since I have tried them all. I use a product call Slippery Stuffy. One dab will do, last a long time. They have a web site on the bottle www.wallace-ofarrell.com. I don't think hormone creams are very good for your body. Your body will make its own hormones when you give it a reason to continue to produce them. Hope this helps, good luck.

Thank you Lee... so if I understand you, the problem corrected itself just by use? Ok... well.. I'd rather do that than use a cream but I just thought maybe I wasn't producing enough hormones.

I'm going shopping!

Dear RowanC, I have used a progestrone cream in the past and liked it. I got mine through my doctor and through a special pharmacist (I think compound pharmacist, Maybe...) who mixed the ingredients just for me. He sent me a 5-page form to figure out my specific needs. I definately noticed a difference. That was last year. Being raw has helped balance my hormones but I have really liked maca powder. It definately makes me "juicy". At first, I thought it tasted yucko and now I looooove it. Good luck.

your not producing enough progesterone. I use Serenity for women. It is excellent. They sell a vaginal cream as well and it is natural progesterone. Look up 'Serenity for women'. It's tough being older sometimes:;)

Arbonne has a wonderful Progestrone cream that is pure and safe. Made according to Dr. John Lee's specifications. It is made with soy products which are more stable then the wild yam. It does not have any animal by-products - certified vegan and no mineral oil. It comes in a premeasured airtight pump.
Check out their products at https://www.arbonne.com/products/balance and if you are interested in more info let me know as I am an Arbonne consultant. I am not here to "sell" things but this has been a wonderful product that I have seen make a BIG difference in women and men's lives who are suffering from estrogen dominance. I suggest reading "What Dr's won't tell you about Menopause" by Dr. Lee. Found in most book stores. I have a CD by Dr. Lee that I would be happy to send you if you are interested. email me for more info. tsandmeyer@msn.com
