I'm glad you like it. I think it is nasty, personally.

I love it too! I make sure and add jalepeno to it, though and I blend in the Vitamix rather than the food processor and I usually don't dehydrate it...just make it a smooth sauce/dip. GREAT with raw crackers or corn chips and that refried bean recipe!

Hi Rawkinlocs,
Do you just add the flesh of the jalepeno or do u chop up everything. I want to try this recipe.

Hey Trinity,
I don't include the seeds and I also remove the membrane from inside and so yes, I guess it's just the flesh...all else would make it too hot (for ME anyway). and I don't use a whole pepper...just a little - I'm a bit of a "wuss" when it comes to fiery food!

Mmm. Definitely will add the hot stuff next time. Just wanted to taste it straight up the first time around.

lmao :D Thank's for the tips. I've seen hot pepper seeds used in recipes and I think that would be way too hot for me also :)

I'm going to make this today. I'm not a huge fan of hot foods either. I can't taste the food when my mouth is on fire!
I have yet to try one of Alissa's recipes that I did NOT like.

I also love this recipe, it is one of my most favorites! I serve it as a pate and don't dehydrate it although I have tried it that way too. With veggie sticks, crackers, or a spoonful on top of a green salad.
I'm glad there is such a variety of recipes we can make so there is something that everyone likes!

I love love love Alissa's nacho cheese! I dont dehydrate...i just leave as a dip - sans the jalapeno because i cant handle anything too spicy. Ive made it 3 times now mmmm.
I do it in the vita mix too because the FP doesnt get it smooth and creamy the way i want it.

Love the Nacho cheese as well. I do both-dehydrate & then freeeze so I can use crumbled on taco salads-etc...BUT..love it as a dip/pate' etc... :D
Enjoy,
Lana

Definitely will like it both dehydrated and non-dehydrated.
Just came home from the local watering hole where DH and I watch football with friends every week. They were all devouring wings and fried stuff. I came home, grabbed a nibble of the dehydrated cheese, and grinned ear-to-ear.
It really can be that simple. =)
