Dear everyone, I am in an exercise muddle. I want to "release" 15 or so pounds. I had done yoga and rebounding but I tend to overeat so i wasn't seeing much weight change. For Christmas I got myself T-Tapp and Turbo Jam. I did T-Tapp for a month and, while it felt good to do something and Ms. Tapp is very knowledgable, I wasn't seeing much change. Now I have done Turbo Jam for a few weeks and, man I sweat but I wonder if it is acidifying being that high intense. It is actually making me crave yoga!! I havebeen thinking of doing yoga 3-5 days and Turbo J. 2-3 days a week but what am I doing!!!??? ;) I so want to whittle off these pounds that I have had since I was 8!! I am realizing that I need to eat more simple fruits and veg-water and mineral rich foods and less fats and dehydrated goodies but for excercise, do I need to work it, baby or win my race slow and steady? Or a combo. I know this sounds like a question for the therapist but, since I do not have one maybe one or a few of you can assisit me in my discision making. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!!

how many days are you workin out right now, and for how long? i noticed myself slim down a dress size when i went from working out 5-6 days a week to 3 days a week. could have been from slightly muscle atrophy, sure..but i didnt gain any flab :)

I would not question the exercise as the reason for not releasing the extra pds, it is usually a question of calories in calories out. So if you are maintaining on the work out schedule it would stand to reason that you need to either increase the work outs and keep food the same OR keep work outs the same and reduce the food consumption (more fruits and veggies and less goumet foods ).
A good sweating work out is not detering you. As long as you are not above your target heart rate...most of us cannot sustain at that anyway..and the sweat work outs are not exceeding 60-75 min..most of us (exclude those with certain medical problems) would benefit from that type of work out 3-4 times a week. So keep up with your schedule, Be Patient and give it time...8-12 weeks..and you will see results ! :D

Eat your Broccoli, I am working out 6 days a week, 2 days with weights, 40 min. workouts. I do think I must eat more water filled food but I am an overeater, i don't know when I am full. I amgoing to do a waterfast tomarrow and then grapefruit for 3 days (DAvid Wolfe says that helps with celulluite). I am hoping that has an effect on my full switch. I have incorporated at least a quart of green smoothie each day but I love those raw crackers/raw pizzas/raw bagels/raw banana bread/RP's brownies.......

green smoothies are great in my opinion for working out. and the greens are really good for cleansing, too. they always brighten up my skin/eyes.
maybe maybe try 2-3 weeks of cutting down to every other day being a "lighter" day? just a suggestion..it worked for me but every body is different. good luck to you!
