Hi! My Hubby is an insulin dependant diabetic. He was diagnosed at 10 when he went into a coma. Basically, now his pancreas does nothing. It doesn't produce any insulin. He has struggled with controlling his diabetes ever since this happened. While he gets the idea of a raw lifestyle and why it's a good idea, he doesn't understand how this lifestyle could be good for a diabetic, I've been telling him how I've heard of diabetics being able to get off their insulin and heal themselves. He's having a hard time believing this, and with him being in the shape that he's in I don't know that he could completely heal himself, but it seems like he could certainly do some wonderful things for himself with it and probably get more control over his diabetes. I did a banana search, and found an article by Sergei Boutenko on another thread, so I've printed that out for him.

If there is anyone out there with juvinille onset diabetes that has had whopping good success with this, I would love to hear you story. Or if anyone has tips on rawing with diabetes, or could direct me to info on raw and type 1 diabetes that would be great too.
Thanks!

I heard of a documentary about several people with diabetes went on raw food diet and completely reversed it. I think it's called Raw for 30 days or something like that. You can look up the trailer in Google video.
