Has anyone else been to the Organic Garden restaurant in Beverly MA? OMG I just went tonight, it was my christmas gift to my mum, and boy was the food absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was great and the prices were pretty fair. The only thing that would be better is when Alissa opens that restaurant she was talking about on the Tyra Banks store. :D Really looking forward to that!!! Open soon Alissa we need more raw food places in New England!!

I went to the Organic Garden for the first time in Oct. I thought it was awsome!! I think its so great to go to a raw resturant and have a whole menu to choose from instead of looking at just the "salad" portion of a menu at regular resturants. I remember I wanted to try everything because it all looked so good. I finally chose the tacos and really liked them.
I can't wait for Alissa's resturant to open..I'm there!!
Wow, I had the opposite reaction to the organic garden. Maybe it was an off day there.
The atmosphere was not so great. It was dark and a little depressing in there.
We waited forever for our food and the couple of things we ordered that said raw on the menu and on their special board were cooked. They advertised raw soup and it was boiled. I know he serves bread and crackers and things that are cooked but even the items that say raw you have to be careful of there. The dips came with cooked chips and one of the entrees (cant remember which one) has blanched vegetables.
Ill have to try it again the next time im in town. Im always willing to give things a second try.
Thanks for the review. It will get me to eat there again.

P.S. Oh yeah, I cant wait for Alissas place to open also!

My aunt lives in Beverly, she's never been (she never heard of raw food til I got into it!). I'm planning on going down there sometime (I'm in Maine) so we can go together.

Hi--
I'll have a chance to go to this restaurant next week for the first time; the menu on the website looks reallly good... can anyone recommend--or "un-recommend" particular dishes?
thanks

I have been there several times and you MUST ask that everything on your dish is raw and not cooked. And, yes all of the soups are cooked. My favorite is the Power Pizza...pricey but worth it!

I unreccomend the lasagna. It was acidic and weird and $19.
I highly recommend the taco platter (or dos tacos appetizer), the rawviolies, and if they have it, the chocolate pudding.
Oh, the portabella burger on essene bread was really good too.
I like the margarita pizza, but they have 2 different crust types, and I dont much care for one. Sorry, don't know which is which. I think it's the oat one I didn't like.
The spring rolls are quite good too, though they come wrapped in non-raw rice paper.
Enjoy!

I've been hoping to go and perhaps get a group together - that way we could all sample random things!

Kaybee, The sunburgers are the same as the fililng for the tacos, and the patty itself is quite good. I imagine it would be yummy as a burger. Haven't had the pad thai nor the falafel.
Beckla, I've been a few times now and so have shared several of the things on the menu. Problem is now that I know how much I like the tacos, I crave them, and only want them when I go back! A group would be fun. We could order a bunch and just share everything...
