If it's not too pricey, http://rawvolution.com will ship "The Box" to any destination. I wish I had known about it prior to my vacation!

Good luck!

Anywhere you travel you should have access to local markets where you can purchase fresh fruits and veggies. The watch-word for a raw food person is PREPARATION. Make sure you have always stocked up on some essentials that will keep well (like apples, oranges, nuts, etc.). You can always keep your produce in a plastic bag....in a container (or sink) of cool water...if you do not have access to a refrigerator. Just keep them out of sunlight and warm areas. Always bring a snack where you go.

-When you arrive at restaurants or social gatherings, I would avoid eating....unless they have something that is obviously raw (like fresh fruit). If anyone asks, just say you are on a 'special diet of fresh fruits and vegetables' and that you are there to spend time with THEM - not to eat. Or simply say you are 'not hungry' and refuse to elaborate. You are an adult and can make your own eating decisions. And you ARE allowed to be in an eating establishment and NOT eat! Ha! ha! What do you think?

I am planning a trip around Raw food!!

I've been raw for 8 months. I've finally finished years of schooling, and now am working and can afford a holiday and I am heading to California. Santa Monica specifically. There are a couple raw restaurants in that area, and I'm sure there's juice bars and readily available organic fruit! I am a freezing Canadian right now... and looking forward to soaking up some hot sun rays... even plus 20 would feel like heaven to me!

My husband and I are seriously considering moving to Vancouver, BC Canada or California. It would be so nice to live somewhere a little warmer, and somewhere where more people are into raw food, veganism, environmentalism etc.
