Hi Alissa and All,

My name is Millie. I live in Tulsa, OK and work at a local hospital as a cardiac nurse. I came to the raw food diet by way of hearing something on TV and stuffing it into my subconscious. Later, I think it resurfaced on its own as I was doing a web search into some food and diet information. I have since studied, studied, studied and come to the conclusion this is really worth a try. My priority is improved health. I am almost 52 years young, but my health is moderate. I have bought many books including Alissa's and her DVD. I also have bought all the appliances except a food processor. I started my 100% raw food life about 3 weeks ago, and already see some benefits.

This is not a far stretch for me as I was raised on many fresh foods, and many of these I experienced raw---mostly out of curiosity and the desire for the fresh, clean, unadulterated tastes. So, this is how I came to this site, and I am so far loving every minute of my new experience.

Thanx Alissa, for your trailblazing in this field and for your frankness in your various outreaches! God bless us all.

Hugs,

Millie ;)

You seem to be doing everything fine. I think it is to your advantage to invest in a Food Processor.

Being a Cardiac Nurse you see what a fast food life will do to you-KILL YOU. But I SALUTE you for being there, helping to give someone another chance to get things right.

I never want to take anything from anyone or leave anyone out. I also thank Alissa for helping to bring RAW to this generation with tools such as the internet and TV. But without such Women as Ann Wigmore, who truly was a pioneer and I could name many more, men and Women. We would not be where we are today.

I wish you everything you need to Stay RAW....Welcome to MY World........

Thank you for your kind welcome and words of encouragement. By the by, I got a food processor and have used it daily since its purchase.

Hi Millie! I worked in a hospital for 7 years and I was amazed at the poor health of nurses! All those well-meaning patient families who leave cookies and cakes and candy!

You are so smart to do this for yourself, and maybe you can inspire others to take the same step.

Good luck!
We're here to hold you up!
