I'm not a big eater of sweets (I'm a salty crunchy kinda gal), but every now and then I get a hankering for ice cream. I did the frozen banana thing, but all by itself, it didn't really do it for me. So next, I mashed up a couple of bananas with some vanilla and raw honey and threw in a few cherries cuz I happened to have a few cherries in the fridge. I spread this mixture onto a plate lined with plastic wrap and popped into the freezer. After freezing, I cut this into "logs" that would fit into the feeder tube of my Omega. If I do say so myself, and apparently I do, it was quite yummie and satisfied my tiny sweet tooth.

Course all you raw "old timers" probably have done something like this already, but this was a first for me and so thought I'd share just in case it might sound good to anyone else. :o

I make chocolate, cherry and banana smoothies and they are yumiful!!! I use frozen bananas, fresh cherries and carob with a little water or you could use a nut milk.

I haven't tried cherries yet but I love adding frozen raspberries or blackberries or redcurrants to the frozen banana. With the first two I have to add a sweetener. I'll definately try cherry soon!

Hey, make it easier on yourself. I always keep bananas frozen in my freezer, in chunks...and frozen bags of cherries and blueberries and such...
SO, in my Omega, I put a chunk of banana, then a few cherries, then alternate. Then when you are done you could drizzle with honey.
My kids LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, plain banana icecream run through the Omega!!
What a great discovery you've made. Does it change everything to freeze the honey with the fruit and run it through together?? Just wondering. Thanks for sharing.
