macs or cashews? I wanted to make Alissa's crepes again, but ran out of cashews. has anyone substituted? I have almonds too, but i would think they would be a little hard on my blender and not come out as smooth, unless i soak them first? thanks everyone!

I've used walnuts before when in a pinch...not quite the same as with cashews or macs, but not bad either...just a little different. Maybe make only half or quarter of the filling to make sure you like it (?) If you don't, the banana leather crepe shells can be eaten alone as a treat!

I am thinking pine nuts or pistachios might work well too, but haven't tried it myself. Just thinking the consistancy is similar...
