I've made maraw's lemon chewies and apple cookies.
I've made a carrot cake with Rawkinlocs' instruction to dehydrate YUM!
And now.. I've just tasted RHP's brownies.
All I can say is OH .... MY.... GOSH!
I am stunned! These are fantastic!
My only problem is they're crumbly and I"m not sure how to get them out of the pan... but heck, they're so good, I can eat 'em with a spoon!
YUMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! :D :D :D

Yes, they're crumbly. I think I need to add water or honey or something. They're not staying together very well when I cut them. But oh my gosh, they are sooooooooooo good! Better than the real thing!

I found that too, so next time I packed it into a plastic pan. Then when it was cold and firm, I turned it upside down and gently pressed to dislodge it. Then I cut the pieces. You can then either fit them back into the original pan, or wrap them up individually and store in the freezer or wherever.

I ended up making the brownies into balls and putting them in the fridge. They are holding together that way. Next time I'll try soaking the nuts. I'm sure that's the difference; the water.
They're still good.. oh my gosh.. I can't believe they're raw! I found raw sun dried cocoa powder here in portland for $9 for 12 ounces. Tomorrow I'm going to buy another bag...

Fairy,
Do you cater parties? Or are you the party girl of the group? Maybe I missed something but I always see you talking parties and I like having fun so it grabs my eyes at any hour. Your creations rock.
I made RP brownies and never had a problem--a whole two tiimes but they were more flat that fluffy. I didn't soak anything as I was in a rush of course wanting a quick fix.

If the brownies are crumbly, just process a bit more, do not add water, or honey, or anything, until you try processing more, this brings out the oil in the walnuts, and allows them to hold together, then I press into a pyrex glass pan, flat, then I pop into the refrigerator for a few minutes, maybe 30 or so, then I cut, and put into plastic zip lock bags and put into the freezer to keep
Once you get them like this, you can then start adding things if you like, if you add water, it makes them sticky.
I also make them super flat and dehydrate to make chocolate cookies, I use these to make my O-raw-o cookies, with a creamy cashew frosting innerds.
I also use them dehydrated with cinnamon for my ice cream sandwiches, they are sooooo good that way
you can do so many things with these.
I sometimes add coconut, or chopped nuts, or dried fruits all cut up, or raisins, or frosting, or a layer of brownie, and a layer of fresh fruit, and a layer of brownie and then a layer of frosting, like a torte, it is so good this way.
I just use them any old way, they also make an excellent pie crust, with chocolate mouse filling, or a crispy chocolate cookie pie crust, by pressing into a pie plate, then dehydrating to crisp, then adding anything you like, it's like those old chocolatle cookie crumb crusts, it tastes soooo good.
I'm glad you all like this recipe.
It is indeed yummy, especially considering it was a mistake, and given to me by the Universe. LOL
