I found Maca to make me feel very weird, hormone-wise. I felt almost jittery when I took it... jittery and not in a good mood.

I'm taking the N.A.C supplement atm and LOVE it. I feel much more relaxed, less angry and have more energy.

Does Maca really balance hormones? I am trying to get my monthly (you know what for a woman) back, would this support it? I lost it from over-training, and more contributing facters.

Create a day of happiness!

I do not know if it will help as I am not an expert. I can tell you that it has made my periods 3 days long and with no cramping (raw diet has taken most of my pms away).
Just being raw may help as well but do your research. Google in maca and there is quite a bit of info. I got a good deal on maca ($11 at my co-op) and I take 2tsp. to 1 Tbl. per day. At first I thought it tasted yucko and now I looooooove it! But that is my body. Yours will know what it wants.

I'm not sure, but I think just raw itself would eventually help balace the body. The cooked foods, especially animal products, have all those antibiotics, hormones, and chemicals that can mess us up. Now, there are plants that have those natural estrogens in them. I don't remember what they are at the moment, but I read them in a book recently if you'd like me to find it for you.
