Afternoon...
Hey... Wan't to make this tonight...
It's been awhile since I have made the Brownies. Was wondering, does anyone double the batch to get more brownies? Does it mess with the taste at all? or is it still divine?
Now the Frosting.. I have never made Rawkin's Cin Frosting... I read that you can omit the orange juice and just add water or more vanilla... But would it make it funky if I used Lemon Juice? Or with it make it 2 sour, and not sweet?
Just wondering, I have no oranges...
Thanks!

Hey you! Yes, you can definitely double the batch and it won't affect the flavor at all. As for the frosting, you could do lemon juice and it would make the frosting more like a "cream cheese-type" of frosting. I'd probably not use more than juice of half a lemon, though and just taste it and if you need a little more sweetener, add it.
I've not had the brownies with that frosting on them...I usually just have them "naked" or I'll eat with banana ice cream (YUM!)

I don't ever remember making just a single batch! :D My recipe is written down double as my basic recipe! With a family of 5, plus these being a great item to share with non-raw friends and family, they don't last long here! I am just thankful we have our own walnut tree because I could never afford to buy so many!!
I have never tried the cinnamon roll frosting with these. I am assumming you just put the two questions together in 1 post?? If you do want a frosting, the post on "Store Bought Frosting" is a winner! That makes this easy 5 star recipe even more amazing, and just as simple!!

Ok... I made one batch with walnuts and one batch with cashews and I have it prssed into the pan.
Do I frost it BEFORE I freeze it and cut the squares or after?
Help?

From my experience, its easier to frost before freezing and cutting them into squares...
yummy...can you let us know how they are with cashews?

I made one half walnuts nuts and one half cashews but it was too think so I piled the cashew part on top of the walnut part... it's sort of two toned.. and they are AWESOME!
