I feel like I'm dying! I've lost my appetite, and can't function very well. It seems to start late in the afternoon every other day or so... does anyone have any suggestions as to what to do about it?

HUGE thanks,
Melissa

Awww...I'm so sorry about your migraines! (((hugs)))

Now, I used to get very chronic headaches (not sure if they were classified as migraines or not) but I didn't stop having them until I started doing some bowel cleansing. I had a VERY toxic bowel and I was very "backed up" (sorry if TMI). Once I had my first colonic and then started doing enemas to clean out some of that old junk, I stopped having those headaches.

Not sure if this info will help or not, how your current diet is and what it was like in the last year or so, or how "clean" your bowels are and how well they function, but it's something to consider!

I was a diaster eater. I can't remember the last time I ate a vegetable before I started this way of eating... for right now, I'm going to bed. But I will look into cleansing.

Thanks!

Hi Melissa,
It really is your diet and like rawkinlocs said about cleansing.
Eating light foods to help flush out and cleanse.
You may even be getting them worse if you are raw now? If you are now starting raw and finding you are getting more, it is probably detox. Whatever ailments you had will come up to 'cleanse out' and they may even be worse then before.
An enema will help. Do one before you go to bed and in the morning if you can, if you can’t get a colonic.
Also try one of these:
· Eat a granny smith apple (I don’t know why but its suppose to work)
· Drink some apple cider vinegar
· really deep foot rub, reflexology
· get a zip lock bag full of ice and get in a bath tub full of hot water (as hot as you can stand it). Put the bag of ice on your head.

I will give all of these a try - thanks so very much for your help!!! I managed to sleep off the one I had yesterday - I've been 99.999% raw (I'm weaning off of caffeine) for 8 days. (And before that I was a total junk food eater) I've noticed they come around 2 or 3 in the afternoon - right when things start getting very busy at work (I'm in investment banking). I'm going to get some granny smith's and have them here at work - if I don't get another crusher I can always snack on them!

Thank you again!!!
Best wishes always,
Melissa

Melissa this must be normal for one getting off of caffeine because I to have noticed them in the afternoon around the same time. Hang in there and you will be fine. :) The body is really good at cleansing it's self but not to pleasant sometimes.

I used to be a big starbucks cafe latte drinker - so you can imagine - the problem is I have a really hard time working under that much pain... I know it's the price I have to pay for such horrible eating/drinking, but I hope you're right and they go soon... Thanks for the encouragement!!!!

Best wishes always,
Melissa

Definately could be the caffiene withdrawls......drink tons of water to help your system flush all the toxins out.

I have to admit, drinking water is not something I do a lot of - I will start right now!!!

Thanks for the suggestion!

mwjeepster,

I have heard ( don't know how true it is) that distilled water, because of it's molecular structure, will attract and remove more toxins than normal drinking water.

Awwww Melissa you poor thing

I used to get migraines too, brilliant advice there, nothing else I know of other than rubbing lavendar on the temples (it works for some, didn't for me)

Just wanted to send you healing thoughts and say OUCH I feel for you
I hope you are feeling better!

Oh Essential oil APPLE helps too - its the smell and I think peppermint is very good too - oh and I used to take double (or triple) strength camomile tea to enable me to sleep, now raw but it helped me.

Unfortunately I don't have distilled water where I am - I will try and find some tonight - I am MUCH better today than I was yesteday, just a minor annoying pain today. I seems to happen every other day or so... so I might get today off :) !!!

Thanks so much for the support and encouragement - as Curtis said, this process is well worth it, but it's not always pretty!

Love toall,
Melissa
