I am a bit confused: fruit takes no time to get digested, vegetables do take time.
What happens when you combine them in a green smoothie?
Also? What about having acid and alcaline stuff in your stomach? Don't they neutralise each other?
Thanks
Esther
PS. By the way, my kids absolutely love green smoothies... and me of course...

Leafy greens are a different food group from other vegetables - at least they should be classed as such. Fruit and starchy fruit is bad food combining, but fruit and greens don't usually cause any problems.
Fruit is alkalining in the body - I don't know why.
As for digestion times - leaves that have been broken down into such tiny pieces by blending don't take much time to digest. For some reason green smoothies go through the body faster than fruit-only-smoothies, I've no idea why. The Bountenkos did a funny cartoon-drawing about the differences between a raw foodists bathroom and a green smoothie drinkers bathroom - green smoothie drinkers go straight in, straight out, because green smoothies cause swift evacuation.
