I am 4 1/2 months pregnant, and completely raw except for this spaghetti issue I have been having- I can't stop eating rice spaghetti (I can't eat wheat at all). I know there are no nutrients in the spaghetti- and what I am almost positive of is that I crave the sauce. I know tomatoes have a lot of vitimine c- but by the time I eat it from the jar, I highly doubt there is any left in it, and I eat tons of oranges. Does anyone have any ideas of what I might be craving in the sauce, and what I can replace it with that is raw? I am dedicated to not eating any at all this week (Sauce that is :-P).
I bought much more fruit than usually, thinking I needed more carbs. I have a very high metabolism. And for being 4 1/2 months, I have only gained about 3 pounds, and am still in my regular cloths.... Any one have experience with this, too?
I have been reading Jinjee's information and am trying to do some of the same things. I am taking New Chapter's prenatal, as well, but not as many as they tell you to take- about half.
Also, has anyone had experience with an unassisted home birth? The only midwife place my insurance covers uses a birthing facility at my local hospital. I can't afford to pay someone to do it if my insurance doesn't cover it. I am seriously considering just staying home to have the baby. I don't want to drive anywhere while in labor, yuck. I know Jinjee only does unassisted home births. Has anyone here had experience with it?

Thanks!!

Congratulations! Sounds like we might be due about the same time - I am due June 22nd with #7. Have you tried raw spaghetti and raw marinara sauce?

So far I have lost 8 pounds in this pregnancy and am still easily fitting into my regular clothes. However, I do have quite a bit of weight to lose.

My last birth was a homebirth, though I did have a midwife assisting. It was a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend it if the Lord is leading you that way.

Hope you are feeling well. Would be fun to keep in touch!

Blessings~

I've craved tomato sauce and V-8 with every pregnancy. I think it's the salt. Celery is a natural source of sodium, you could try that. Or see if you can make your own raw tomato sauce or raw V-8 - I've seen a recipe for that somewhere.

As far as the weight gain - it's not uncommon to gain most of the weight during the last half of the pregnancy as the baby gets bigger.
