I just made the most delicious apple cake completely by accident!! (don't ya love raw cookin'?)
Forgive me for not having amounts, but I was just using up leftovers from the fridge.
Gwendolene's Raw Apple Cake
Ingredients:
Batter:
flaxseeds, ground
sunflower seeds, soaked 8 hours
2/3 of an apple, chopped
dates, soaked
date soak water
cinnamon
celtic sea salt
extra water to thin as needed
Stir ins:
1/3 of an apple, sliced thinnly into strips
raisins
Combine all batter ingredients in a food processor until ball starts to form. Add water and continue to blend until it reaches your desired consistancy (also makes good pancakes or toast).
Gently fold in apple strips and raisins.
Dehydrate on a teflex sheet at 105 F. When it is dry enough to be handled, flip it over, removing teflex sheet and continue to dehydrate until evenly dried through the middle. (The best way to do this is to place a spare tray and mesh sheet over the cake, then flip. Remove the old tray, peel of teflex sheet and return to the dehydrator.)
Enjoy!
