I made my first crackers last night (corn and flax seed). I'm dying to try them and would love a recommendation for a good dip.

Thanks in advance!

I like to soak nuts as a base (cashew, almond). Then puree them in a food processor, and experiment! You can add garlic and basil for a pesto type sauce, or soaked sundried tomatoes, or whatever you want. :)

i really love alissa's nacho cheeze as a dip for veggies and crackers.... also i think guacamole is always a sure thing to be great with crackers, esp since u made em more like corn chips.

Last night I made a creamy ranch dip for my veggies! It too had a base of soaked cashews and was yummy!

Hey banana shake, I'd be happy to share it with you :)

I've still got some sitting in the fridge. I was like "ooh I've gotta save this for lunch tomo" it was that yummy! I'm hiding it in the back of the fridge from my dad (he always manages to eat all the good stuff!)

I soaked 1cup of cashews for 2hours
Then blended them with:
1 1/2T lemon juice
1T fresh minced basil
1T fresh chopped chives or green onions (i used green onions)
1T fresh dill*
a bit of salt
1t onion powder
1t garlic powder
and 1/2c of water added in bit by bit to aid in

*I had no fresh dill so I used 1t of dried dill

Keep scraping the sides of the blender down and mix it for ages til you get the consistency right, then put in the fridge and you've got your own ranch dip!

I'm not big on dips but I do like the Nacho Cheez undehydrated and used as a dip.

Hey, Razzleberry! Thank you so much! I'll be whipping it up this weekend to pair with some onion bread. Thanks again! Jen

I love the pumpkin seed pate/cheese in Juliano's book. I've lost the book though, sorry. Maybe someone else could post a list of the ingredients???

I love Alissa's onion dip.

Also the mock salmon pate makes a great dip.
