In Search of Maryland Raw Friend!

I live in Williamsport,MD which is an hour north of DC and Bmore. 30 minutes North of Frederick,Md. I would LOVE to have a female raw friend, someone I can invite to have a raw dinner w/me, someone I can swap recipes with. I know this sounds like a personal ad.. but I dont know where else to post this. I even put an ad up on on the Maryland craigslist board and got not one response. With my fiance working over seas.. it seems like it would be more fun to share raw food and experiences with someone.

So why not take a friend to lunch. Let them eat whatever they want and you remain RAW. I do it all the time, I have NO RAW friends. I can understand you want to be around LIKE minds but don't let life pass you by because you can't. Take those Lemons and lets make some LemonAde...

I think you can go ANYWHERE and remain RAW..So call up a friend, get yourself all CUTE and GET OUT OF THAT HOUSE.

Remember it is YOUR Journey and because someone is on a different journey does not mean you cannot fly on the same plain......Am I making it clear? Don't let your youth slip by.....

I will be living back in DC again from Feb to May; short time, I know, but I would love to meet up with you all and attend your potlucks if you are still having them. Ive been playing with raw on again off again for about a year and a half; when i was in DC before I loved going to the VSDC raw potlucks, but now living in Europe for the last 8 months, its tough trying to eat raw when no one else is eating this way..... cant wait to get back to America for a little while :)

Im going to be moving back to DC area for a few months probably Mt. Rainier in a few weeks; pretty close to college park and wheaton. would love to do potlucks :) i only knew a couple raw foods people in DC or VA when i lived there before. cool.

I moved to Georgia from Ft. Detrick, but I'll be up that way from Feb. 3rd through the 8th or 9th. If anyone wants to get together, let me know. It would be nice to meet a couple of other "raw foodies" while I'm up there. When I did it last year, I didn't know of this board and I was the only one I knew doing raw. All my friends thought I'd lost my mind!

Really?!!! That is soo cool, hehe. I'm near the Aspen Hill area. I will keep my eyes open for more raw foodists. Must be more in my area than I give credit for.

in case anyones interested, looks like theres a raw foods potluck in DC area the first sat of Feb sponsored by vsdc if anyones interested. i think the email contact is patricia.powell@wwfus.org. you can get more details on the vsdc website. i wont be going to this one because i wont be back in DC yet, but in the past they've been pretty good; looks like the guy who used to be in charge isnt doing the organizing anymore though, so it may be a little different than it used to--

Hey! I live in Callaway, just south of Leonardtown -- probably half an hour or so south of you! I'm still new to raw, so I'd love to have a live person to get tips/advice from! I probably won't get as far up the road as the other Marylanders, but if I ever want to go to the mall I have to come to Waldorf -- maybe we could do lunch some weekend or something?? :D
