I have read that some people cannot have sweet fruits because of candida etc.
What are the sweet fruits? What are the non-sweet fruits then? I find all fruits sweet :p
Or do they mean the fruit of a vegetable plant as non-sweet fruit, say, for example, tomatoes?
Thanks

I may be wrong, but Alissa (I think) ate sweet fruit and she still healed from Candida.
I like sweet fruit. I believe that our taste buds are as valid an indicator that we are eating the right things as any other "proof". Our taste buds naturally crave sweet things because I believe we are designed to eat fruit.
Unfortunately, modern processed junk is design to mask that instinct and so we grow up believing "sweet=bad".
As Alissa says, just eat raw! :) In the beginning, this new freedom will be such a honeymoon that you'll eat lots of new things just because the experience is so incredible, but then the body will settle into it.

There are various opinions on what to eat to heal candida. So do some reading and see what works for you.
There are different categories of fruit, and sweet fruits have a higher glycemic index. They would include most fruit... oranges, apples, pears, bananas, mangos, peaches, apricots, grapes, nectaries, melon, ect
Grapefruit, kiwi, and some apples and pears are moderately sweet fruits. Berries too.
Then non-sweet fruits would include tomatoes, avocadoes, cucumbers, ect

The way I see it, since I committed to a vegetarian diet over a year ago, I haven't slipped up...NOT ONCE! Now I'm a raw food vegan, which means I can't even enjoy my favourite organic rye bread, brown rice (with nori flakes...oh good lord yum), or organic d-wheat pasta. I don't smoke, don't drink, don't use pharmaceutical or recreational drugs...I only drink bottled water (when I get a juicer, I will include freshly squeezed fruit and veg juices), I exercise and give it my all every single time. I mean, let me at least have one thing that I enjoy simply because it tastes nice...let me have my sweet bananas and organic sultanas for breakfast for goodness sake! If I cut those out, I might as well shave my head (oh wait a minute, I do shave my head), don a yellow robe, and go live up in the mountains somewhere  ;) :D

Hear hear! This is the one way of life where I don't have to swallow down unpalatable, undesirable tasting foods "because it's good for me".
Talk about freedom!

Good information on what is classified as sweet or non-sweet fruit, veggies and so on you can find in the food combining charts (either google to find one or check in Alissa's book, there's one too).
cheers,

I eat sweet fruit all day and absolutely love it and feel grrreat. Life is meant to be sweet.:D
Candida and diabetes are caused by excess fat (see research at http://www.geocities.com/fivepcsaday/fat.html) not sugar, byt the way. I've read countless stories of those who healed from candida while eating lots of sweet fruit. I did too.
Fruitfully,
Gosia
