I was just on www.thegardendiet.com, looking at Storm and Jinjee's ebooks. I was looking at the Orange Juice Diet ebook (for a cleanse) and there is a link in the description that you can click on and get all 10 of their ebooks for only $20 (it's a special it says)! Has anyone purchased any of their ebooks? Are they good? I'm trying to decide if I should purchase them.

I did get their e-books. Very homemade, full of good energy and very good info. Jinjee and Storm are the ones who led me to my first raw step...it's a look into the lives of a very special family...I also like Storm's recipes as they are do-able and easy as well as tasty. They don't so "gourmet" they do real good food. It's simple stuff...if you're looking for fancy this isn't it. I also like the fact that this is a home family biz...

For $5 more, you could get the documetary DVD along with the e-books. When I bought that DVD, I got one e-book for free, The Garden Diet. I found it informative and enjoyable as a newbie. The only thing I didn't like was the e-book format. I like to be able to lie down, pick up a book, and read it. So, for me that was the only draw back. I haven't read the others but for five bucks more, I think the DVD would be worth it.
I look forward to hearing about the e-books that I have not read.

Methinks Craig needs to get some printer cartridges! :D
By the way, I loved your interview with Alissa! I loved the parts about the book-writing and the behind-the-scenes on the Tyra show.... When you said "Tyra Reid," you were probably thinking of Tara Reid. She had a show once or still does...I dunno. It was all about her partying though.

Don't know who I was thinking of as I don't watch T.V. and have no idea who Tara Reid is. Must have heard the name somewhere though ~ I guess ~ I dunno either. lol Thanks for the clarification.
Glad you enjoyed the inteview. She is soooo fun and funny! Hopefully, more to come soon!

I got the movie and the "The Garden Diet" ebook. The recipes are easy and very good; no dehydrator needed for any of them.

I also started on my raw life with an intro from Storm and Jinjee. I also really like their books and, though it is a bit"homemade" I like the DVD. I have 3 kids and theyhave liked seeing other kids doing this lifestyle. I also enjoy Jinjee's daily e-mails. It is definately worth the $.

I bought all the ebooks and really love them. They're really useful and I refer to them a lot. The DVD was nice but I wouldn't spend money on it if I hadn't already.

I have the e-books and DVD, love them especially since I do not dehydrate food! They are a great compliment to my collection. And my youngest likes to watch the DVD over and over. :)

Hi Everclear,
I really like the e-books. I especially like it how don't need supplements or a dehydrator and don't get caught up in using lots of condiments.
I really like their "Raw Vegan Channel" as well. For only $10 you can view the raw vegan channel a month. I think this is a great buy. You can see it at this link: The Raw Vegan Channel (http://www.rawveganchannel.com/)
Hope this helps,
Lisa

I too got my first look into raw via Storm and Jinjee. I was fascinated!
I haven't bought any of their ebooks or the DVD yet, but am thinking about getting the whole package this year.
I really like the daily raw inspiration.

I have thought of buying their ebooks.....I might just have to do that, and print them out to put in a book. How many pages are we talking here??? I am not one to sit and read at the computer, plus I don't want to tie up that much memory. Also, does the DVD come in the mail, or do you download it...if I have to download it, can I just put it onto a disc?? Thanks...looking forward to purchasing from them. Their family is an inspiration.

Tara Reid was on Tyra Bank's show talking about her botched plastic surgery. I never saw it but while I was watching the Diet Wars episode, they had a coming attraction clip for it. I don't watch the Tyra Banks show, other than for Alissa.
Re - the e-books, they are good books and have lots of info, although not edited much and no table of contents. It's kind of like reading the message boards, but reading from an experienced perspective.
I would print it out and put it in a binder so I could take it around with me.
The movie is good, more of a documentary home-movie type of thing, not your average indi documentary.

I have purchased them, and they are good, but they don't dive into exotic recipes or anything like that. They have great advise on the kids diets, and they are very "real" people. I enjoyed reading the books, and still go over them. They have a DVD for exercise which is interesting - it has to work, because Jinjee looks fantastic after having all those kids, and she is pregnant again!!

I got their e-book a long time ago, and subsequently misplaced the d/l.
I just (today) received their DVD. They are truly amazing souls. G-d bless them. I didn't know Jinjee was pregnant again. How wonderful!

Storm and Jinjee are my raw heros, and I'm not one to go fawning over raw gurus and calling them my heros. I really like their energy, sincerity and e-books.
I've read pretty much every raw book/cookbook under the sun, yet and still, I'd recommend their info to anyone striving to be a raw vegan.
Their info is affordable, simple, from the heart, from their experience, without all the ego and rah raw rah, and flat out down to earth. Are their books worth $20? Absolutely!!! You won't find a better deal anywhere. Get the movie for an extra $5 too. You won't be disappointed in the least bit.
I've read the most technical of raw books, and listed to the most technical of raw vegan gurus spout off on the benefits of this and that, but I keep coming back to Storm and Jingee's info. You just can't beat shared experience, and they are extremely experienced in living this raw vegan life with their family.
Enjoy! :)
