kiaora everyone,

i was just browsing and found raweo's. WOW! now, i know there are some amazingly creative raw chefs on this forum and i'd like to put the question to you..

how can the ingredients; soaked almond, cashew, raw honey, carob & coconut come out to look like those?!

I saw those the other day and they look sooo good! I have a recipe my RawPriestess in my dehydrator now, they taste so good and gooey right now but need then to dry more. I wish mine would turn out like that!!

Here is rp's recipe:

O-raw-o
1cup walnuts
1cup dates (pitted)
3/4cup cacao

blend in food processor
make into 24 balls
smash balls flat into 1/8" thick on teflex sheet and dehydrate until they are fairly dry, then flip over and continue drying until crisp
center
1/2 cup coconut meat
1/2 cup dates (pitted)
1" vanilla scraped
I would try to make this as stiff as possible, if I had to add a bit of coconut water or maybe orange juice to make it blend then I would, then you could dehydrate inside the cookie to thicken it, or maybe into rounds on a teflex sheet and then put inside the cookies.

I will post pictures when I get them done...if they crisp up by the time the world ends, which is a while from now! lol. I might just have chewy raweos, I don't care personally, just as long as the center is the same, or about the same!

Well how i did that was to soak the cashews first then I incorperated them with coconut butter, a little dried coconut, some vanilla and blended it in a high speed blender. This was the filling. I just dumped stuff in until I liked the taste and consistancy.

For the cookie part I combined raw almonds, agave, stevia, coconut butter, dried coconut and raw cacao powder in a food processor.

I then rolled the dough out between two sheets of wax paper and used a biscuit cutter to make "professional looking" circles.

Then I dehydrated them. When they were done I rolled about a tablespoon of filling in a ball in my palm then put it between two cookies and squished a bit.

Then I chilled them. I am going to try a different mix next time for the cookie part using sprouted flour or left over nut milk pulp.

I love that RP's recipe doesn't use nuts for the filling! Sometimes ... even if it is a delicious treat... if it is made out of a nut base it makes me feel a little sick.
I love nuts.. but can't handle too much! You know?
Coconut cream center sounds.... oooo.. so so so good!!!!!!
I can't wait to make these!
Thanks for the recipe!
