Hi Everyone

I live in Johannesburg South Africa. I am Vegan and have been for around 10 years now and was vegetarian for around 20 years before that.

I have been popping into the forum for a while but never got around to signing up.

I first got to know Alissa when I imported her manual squeezer. I was working then and traveled a lot so it came in handy. I have now retired.

I have a Vegan blog called The Vegan Diet. I opened it in April last year. I intend highlighting Alissa's site this coming week on it. I thought I had done so but when going though my 150+ posts today to find out what I still needed to cover on my blog I found that I had not.

I hope to eventually be totally on raw food as I feel it is the way to go. At the moment I am around 60% raw. When I became Vegan cheese was my problem...to become raw food potatoes will be a problem believe it or not :)

You don't have to give up potatoes.......no, you can dehydrate them both white and sweet. There are so little food that we have to give up. And if we have to it can be replaced by SOOOOOOOOO much more DELICIous ones.

So happy you decided to come on in and see how we are. As you can see we are all RAW and Thriveing. You won't go wrong with RAW. RAW will never lead you the wrong way, RAW will never leave you, now you might leave it but RAW will wait for you......Forever....

Welcome to the Family........I wish you everything you need to Stay RAW....Welcome to MY World..

Hi Jackie!

You are the first SAcan I have seen on this forum!! As you can see from my Avatar, I am also SAcan (CT), but currently living in the States! Welcome to this forum - the people here are wonderful and very supportive! How big is the raw vegan movement in SA? I don't remember anyone following this lifestyle when I lived there...
