I am thinking about getting an Excalibur. My question is about the sizes and the power of each. I am the only one in my family that is Raw. My daughter is vegan leaning to the raw side and my wife eats SAD. I notice that the 4 tray has 200 watts of power, the 5 tray 400 watts and the 9 tray is 600 watts.
Do you think the 4 tray is big enough and with enough power?
I have an American Harvest right now and I'm not sure if I like it.
Thanks in advance for your advice

Enough power for what? Have you been to the Excaliber site to read what can be done with each version? I think you should read them all and decide which best fits your needs. For some the small one is perfect; but others really need the larger one.
Because you have a family, and even though they aren't raw, they may end up picking at your food; so a large one may be necessary. If you plan on making a lot and storing for the week, then, again, you may want the large one.
If you will not be doing a lot of dehydrating and/or it's only you, then the small one may be fine.
You just have to kind of figure it out according to your life.

Thanks Jaurequi. :) I took your advice. I was going to get a 4 tray because it was cheaper. But I guess in the long run, The 9 tray would bee best.
Plus, I got a really good deal on ebay today for a 9 tray. :D
Thanks again.

I agree, you will be happier with the 9 tray in the long run. Especially when you want to make onion bread, granola, crackers, etc, and 4 trays will just not be enough.

Oh yes - the 9-tray definitely. It's just me and I use all my trays!!!
