:) I've heard some good things about it for those that are "high rawers" how do you feel about it?

I don't even consider anything but Alissa's. Can't be any simpler than she makes it: anything you want, whenever you want, long as it's raw. Why go anywhere else?

In 1996 I took a class at church from a couple that were into "healthy eating" ... the husband had had a health crisis and instead of surgery or drugs went for juicing, supplementing, etc. They followed the HA "style" because they still ate some cooked food.
After that class I "tried" being a vegetarian and I got the HA books etc. I think I jut got lazy and didn't stick with it.
However, this past August when I had a health crisis I looked them up again as I knew I had felt great following their plan ... and, in searching for their site and other information I came accross Alissa's site and here I am!
tvillemom has been there and met the founders.

I love to search for new information yet I keep coming back to Alissa's way as it is the easiest. However, for transition, HA is a great start!
I have never been into diets. Honestly, I'm totally against them. I'm all for life changes though. I consider raw a life change, not a diet. Not sure about the diet stated above but living raw, I eat what I want when I want. I have noticed many many people in my life diet and I don't think even one was successful. They always go back to their old ways and sometimes worse because they deprived themselves of what they wanted. Living on raw, if I'm craving bread and heavy foods I eat that. If I'm craving salads and veggies I eat that. I just had fig cake for breakfast... it's all good! I feel that if I was craving the fig cake and I had my normal green smoothie then I'd just be craving the fig cake until I gave in...

:) I feel the same way.
Lately if i'm craving something cooked and can't deal with it, i try to find a raw way of preparing it but if i can't after much trying i will eat it with loads of raw veggies.
But, i realize i'm a work in progress :) .
I'm loving the journey, sometimes i have to detour but i try to get back on the right path.
