Ive been really craving granola or granola bars lately. Then i saw GlimR's pics of them and it totally made my mouth water!
Is there a thread anywhere on here with granola recipes? or does anyone have one they can share?
thanks a heap!

There are some recipes amongst these threads: http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/forum/search.php?searchid=736485
I usually make mine (sorry, I don't have exact measurements) with:
hand-rolled oat groats (or if you want TRULY raw oats, you can get some from Alissa's site or anywhere else you may find truly raw oats (some people can get them locally)
sprouted/dehydrated buckwheat (it gets all nice and crispy-like...almost like Rice Crispies)
Raisins and/or goji berries
nuts/seeds of choice (I like pecans and/or walnuts)
and I mix this all up in a big mixing bowl with either agave or date paste, cinnamon, a little sea salt and then press onto the teflex (or you can use a pan) and dehydrate until desired texture (the longer you dry it, the crunchier...the less, the chewier)

i saw alissa post somewhere a thing she makes near granola bar type of 2 cup walnut 2 cup raisins blended up coarse then formed into dish , then make a frosting of 10 soaked dates - water - juice of lemon blended .
i made it and frosting is great . i put water in my walnut raisin mixture and ruined that though . but before i added water it tasted great  .
this she says can be froze or not froze .
def add almond slices and cinnamon for granola bar and all the rest of your magic stuff fairygirl so i can see your awesome recipe :D .
check the archives for pure food and wines granola recipe, it is the best raw granola I have made. I did modify it and it needs dehydration.

After you make the granola, have it for breakfast with banana milk! It's wonderful. Blend 1 frozen banana to 1 glass of good water and pour it on your granola. Top of the mornin' to you! You'll love it!

I have looked high and low for Mara's recommendation of the best granola by Pure Food that she suggested. Any clues?? I even did a search, but still no answers popped up yet.
I do have buckwheat groats soaking. I'm thinking calzone dough, pizza, then maybe some granola while I got the dehydrator going. I am thinking low cal calzone and stuffing them with diced veggies and a basil cream "cheese" dressing inside too. Well, not sure if you would call tahini low call, but a splash of it then. On the pizza I may play with the same type of dressing too so the pizza will be "green" for St. Patrick's Day instead of red for Valentine's Day (coming up on the 14th). Tune and I'll just let you what transpired. I am really anxious to take a stab at granola and may play with some suggestions already posted at this site. Nothing in particular yet.
I do have raisins, walnuts, almonds, goji berries hidden somewhere.
I need to get some cashews for a cheese look on the top of the calzone...just a thought at the moment.............
Off to dream about my dishes. Oh, the enchilada. Maybe do this one too. Don't think I will be making bread, but who knows at this point. What did I forget? I've got only 3 cups of buckwheat groats soaking so not sure how much I can actually make for my recipes, but smaller sizes will work too.
I would love to get less excited about using the dehydrator at some point.
I have a rawluck gathering end of the week so may play with some ideas. Guess whose house it will be at? Brigitte Mars, author or Rawsome, my bud. Remember her daughter is on Eating for Beauty cover--http://rainbeaumars.com/
Thanks.

FairyGirl is there any way that you are willing to share any of the recipes you used from the photos only post where you posted all the yummy looking food. I'm new to raw food and looking for some good recipes to try out. We're all starving over here since we're getting a little bored of the same plain jane stuff everyday. Are those recipes you made up yourself or ones that you got somewhere and if so do you mind sharing where? THANK YOU SO MUCH, it would be a life saver especially since I'm 8 months pregnant and having cravings!
