I want to juice the whole apple but not with the wax on it. Is there a way to take the wax off of fruits and vegetable?

thanks

I'd imagine the wax won't get into your juice, just as the peel it sticks to doesn't. But if you're worried about it, I'd peel the apples prior to juicing them.

I'd just wash it with a mild dish soap and see if that cuts through it.
If not, I'd peel it. I personally wouldn't put it into my juice.

I use an environmentally friendly, non-toxic fruit/veggie wash that is very cheap and lasts a long time. It is the Shaklee Basic-H cleaner. I use it regularly and it gets all the wax and pesticides off. Let me know if you want more info and I can pass it along to you (lisamadam@gmail.com).

I use Veggie Wash (http://www.veggie-wash.com/). It's safe and 100% natural. Dishwashing liquid doesn't do the trick. My juice tasted like soap:eek:.

Really? I tried that and the stupid wax wouldn't get off of there. I wish the stores wouldn't do that to fruits and vegetables

Could you please post the info on the vegetable washes? :D

You're right, sometimes if you don't rinse well, it tastes like soap. I've had that happen. . . and YUCK! A veggie wash would be better.

Yuck all the chemicals and wax that is put on our food makes me sick.

I use fruit and veggie wash - an all natural product from sunrider that my friend sells. its great and u can see all the toxic stuff come off the produce.

thank you all. I am going to find a store that sells good kitchen doodads and also get the veggie wash.
