I have another calzone question that I hope someone else has run into. I'm thinking about making them (I make smaller ones, rather than one large one) to take to work for lunches. I love heating them up in the dehydrator, but won't have that luxury at work. Has anyone ever tried just leaving them out at room temp for a couple of hours before eating them at lunch, so they're at least not cold?

Thanks! :)

I've never tried the calzone so I can't comment from that angle but I almost always leave my food out a few hours to get to room temperature. Not sure why but I hardly ever use the dehydrator to heat food up. There is no dairy or anything like that in our food so there's no reason why it would spoil by leaving it out a few hours.

Hi Carolyn
I keep mine out for a 3-6 hrs because my lunch break time varies. I always warm it in the dehydrator before I leave for work to crisp it up from the refridgerator cuz it gets a little mushy. Its always great at lunch!

I've eaten them cold and great too. I can't plan ahead to dehydrate again, so just eat and run iks how I do it.
