Hello All,

I bought the omega 8005 juicer a month ago and have been using it almost everyday for juicing. I really love it. Yesterday, I used it to make cashew nut butter. It came out perfectly; extremely smooth. However, I'm a bit concerned because when I touched the cashew nut butter, it was very warm. I noticed that the pulp of vegetable after juicing is also very warm. Does anyone know how hot the food is exposed to during processing?

I have the omega and no I haven't paid attention to it. Now my pulp is never warm, but I did notice it on the nut butters that it would get very warm. I did my nuts in small batches because of that and it kept the temp down nicely. You can always stick test the temprature of your nut butter if your concerned about it. I'm surprised that your pulp is heating up though.. Do you make _alot_ of juice at a time? I generally only make a glass so it is not a problem for me.

I'M WAITING ON MY OMEGA 8005!!! I CAN'T WAIT.....WHERE ARE THE "JUMPING UP AND DOWN" SMILEY FACES???? IT SHOULD COME TOMORROW!!!!
Now, seriously, I'm glad you LOVED your nut butter! I can't wait to make some! I've read others who said that they do nut butters in small batches to keep the machine cool....????? I would also wonder how many oz. of juice are you doing at a time? Maybe wait a minute or two between "glasses" of juice??? Let us know, I'm curious!

I LOVE my Omega 8500 :D I'm sitting here sipping on a great big glass of 3 freshly juiced grapefruits; MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM; delish :p I have never noticed my pulp to be warm... the white stuff that holds the slices together (can't remember what it's called) from the grapefruit was just really dried up and the juice is OUTTA THIS WORLD!!!

Happy Juicing :p

Hello everyone,

Thanks for your responses.

I usually juice 4-5 8oz juice. Is that too much? However, the cashew nuts were done in very small batches.
