Is there anywhere in your area that has an Asian market? That is where they are found where I live and in California in general...

Where in Boston are you? I know of places in Lowell and Lynn. Being from Marblehead i had to go there to get them. But right in Boston, china town or any Asian market, as ConsciousCuisine mentioned should have them or be able to get them.

I don’t know the name; it’s an Asian market. But it is in Market Square; do you know where that is? It’s that huge intersection and if you go to the right you go to GE and if you go to the left you go up through Saugus to RT 1.
There are a few around there but there is a huge one right in the center.
Does that help? Sorry i never got the name...
Best,
Alissa

Thank you so much Alissa! i found the place and bought my first durian. It was the wierdest experience I have ever had. It smelled like fish on the outside and I thought , "oh I can handle that" But when I opened it I was in shock. It was the oddest smell ever. The texture was really creamy but it tasted so weird I can't even describe it. I don't think I like it. The guy at the store told me if you can't get over the smell then you won't be able to eat it. i guess he was right.
