I want to try this recipe...

But heres my dilemma, I was never a fan of the marinara sauce, so is there anything else you wonderful people have put on top of the rawviolio's? Or does it the sauce taste diff when combined with rawvioli and not zucchini noodles?

When I ate SAD I always had alfredo on my ravs. Try making Alissa's alfredo and topping the raviolis with it. :)

Do you not like marinara full stop or is it just Alissa's? I didn't particularly like Alissa's but I love Shazzie's -
2 tomatoes, 12 sundried tomatoes, 1 clove garlic, 2 tablespoons olive oil, lemon juice, 1 date, 1 apple, salt blended until smooth. Then add a handful of fresh basil and a few sprigs of fresh oregano, and blend until still has green flecks.

Hmm yeah I didnt really like Alissas 2 sweet and too thick. Which can be change by limiting the sundrieds, but an APPLE? what does that do? How does it taste?

I just visited an incredible raw food restaurant in New York, The Plant (Brooklyn-area). I had RawViolis made with cashew nut cheese wrapped in sheets made from dehydrated young Thai cocconut served with a sauce made from pears...absolutely delicious!!!

I highly recommend anyone who lives in or visits the New York area to stop by The Plant. Don't forget to try the chili while you're at it. :D

I don't like sweet sauce, either. I made some of Alissa's marinara today, and just modified it a bit ... I used small cherry tomatoes for a small bit of natural sweetness as opposed to the dates, and used only about a cup of them to the 12 sun-dried tomatoes. I added some Italian seasoning, cut the oil a bit, and added some water for good consistency. I really like how it came out. I had made some stuffed mushrooms Florentine and used the marinara as a dipping sauce for them. Super yummy.
