I felt so bad, i'm still upset.
I had some carmel sauce today, i had purchased the same product that was made from carob, it was okay but after eating the carmel sauce over a piece of sweet potato pie i had left over from Christmas i looked on the label and it said from organic milk on the label.
Why didn't i look more closely at the label, i'm so hurt :( :( :( .
Has anyone ever had this happen to this? I saw the picture on the bottle and it looked so good and i had purchased the carob sauce before and it was organic and it had no milk in it.
Next time i won't let my eyes tell me what to buy, never again.

I've learned to read every label. Every once in a while I'm in a great hurry and I screw up. But we have food allergies in the family so I have to check. I've also been burned a few times by various people who insisted something was safe for us to eat, only to learn that it has something in it like a milk derivative. I even bought myself a lighted magnifyer to keep in my purse after having consumed what I thought was a safe tortilla (not raw) that contained whey. The were whole wheat tortillas in a clear bag with the ingredients listed in light brown print. Next to impossible to read.

I'm learning that mistakes happen but i feel so dumb to not have looked more closely at the label.
Also when i put it on my pie i couldn't really taste it, money wasted but lesson learned :D .
Thanks Julie.

No worries, eventually you'll develop a nose for these kind of things.

Most stuff that comes in "bottles" is NOT raw. For me, that's why I tend to lean to the obviously fresh produce.

One of the most liberating aspects of being raw was that it is so real, and NOT about buying special bottled things, so anything you do meet that comes in a bottle, meet it with the keenest skepticism you can.

Happy New Year!
