On Thanksgiving my wonderful mother-in-law asked hubby and I to each make separate christmas wish lists and she said to put everything we could possibly want as a gift, even if it were impossibly expensive, just to get an idea and with the understanding that we obviosuly wouldn't/couldn't possibly get everything we wanted but to list it all anyway. Then she told us to put a star by the 3 things we really wanted the most. So I listed mostly reasonable stuff but since vitamix blenders are so ridiculously expensive I wrote that under the list with the more out-of-sight things like new car, new house etc (lol) as a joke, really. I put stars next to the cheaper things like new shoes, winter coat and for fun: I put a star next to the vitamix.
It never even entered my mind that they would have the money to get me a vitamix (what with all the people they had to buy for this year) but it was fun to write it down. But to my wonderful surprise on christmas There was a huge box with a BRAND NEW vitamix 5000 blender in it. I nearly fell over I was so excited! We all stood around and made smoothies and other raw treats (they aren't raw but they are very supportive of my being raw). It was so much fun and I've been blending up a storm. My new vitamix is proudly displayed on the counter. I can't wait to have better green smoothies every day now!
