You are welcome. Carlene actually got started here on this forum and I believe her journal is still here. She now runs the raw food boot camp for the obese and I hear it is very effective.

Lots of people have lost that sort of weight in that space of time by just going raw and not following any particular diet.
If you have failed on diets before now then the best diet is the one that allows you to eat as much as you want as long as it is raw. That is the diet propmoted by this web site. Just eat raw.

Eating liberally, 100% raw, fresh food, and I do mean LIBERALLY, and I do mean 100%, not 99%, enabled me to lose 50 pounds between june 2005 and Jan 2006, without "trying", and without batting an eyelash.
While my cooked friends were dutifully following Atkins and counting carbs and missing out on luscious, fragrant ripe pineapple, I was eating entire pineapples and losing weight. (And feeling alive and vibrant!)
Succumbing to cooked influences and making poor choices enabled me to gain a good portion of that back, thus making me a RAW LIFER, who wants to not only be a nice size, but who wants to kiss the sickness issues goodbye that went with the cooked lifestyle.
As a raw lifer, I do NOT count calories, and my mouth waters and I drool over fresh grapes, cantaloupe, watermelon, blueberries, celery, bananas, dates, oranges, grapefruits, apples, pears.....
SO YUMMY! SO FREE!
I agree with sport and RandN... just go 100% raw. I lost 80 pounds in about 8 months. Raw Food Bootcamp is a great resource but is just one perspective on the raw food diet. I believe the key is to eat raw so that you don't feel deprived. That way, you're not only losing weight, but giving your body true health.
