I have an old round dehydrator that I've had for about 5 years and want to get something newer. I really did not want to spend $179.00 on an Excalibur, even though they look fabulous. Can anyone recommend another one under $100.
I bough the 4 tray excalibur and it came to about $119. If you plan on using it a lot, I'd just get the excalibur, it's worth it. If you are preparing for more than one person the 4 tray may not be enough for you. I'm only preparing for myself so it's fine for me.
Here are a bunch I found on eBay (http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?sofocus=bs&sbrftog=1&from=R10&satitle=excalibur+dehydrator+4&sacat=-1%26catref%3DC6&sargn=-1%26saslc%3D2&sadis=200&fpos=10029&ftrt=1&ftrv=1&saprclo=&saprchi=&fsop=1%26fsoo%3D1&coaction=compare&copagenum=1&coentrypage=search)... most have free shipping and come with one free Paraflexx sheet. I got 2 free sheets with mine and ended up buying 2 more sheets. They come in handy when making breads

Thanks Ama, I decided to get the Excalibur for $119.00 with free shipping and a free 5mm sheet. Can't wait to get it now. I just use it for myself and 4 trays will be perfect. :D
