Lemon Chewies are the BEST!

K, i just had to share with you all that i made maraw's lemon chewies and they are sooooooooooooo goooooooood!!! actually more than good, they are outta this world. i cant stop eating them! they will be on the dessert platter tomorrow for christmas dinner. :D

What a great compliment. I have all the ingredients but the 8-10 hour wait I'll probably have to park myself away from this house or it will be "super--not dehydrated" chewies.

yes, i originally thought they would be great for me (of course), but more for my mom because she loooves anything lemon. And i was right, she cant stop eating them either!

next i will make the chocolate chewies, in the new year.

Hey Maraw,
Just made your lemon AND your chocolate chewies for Xmas. I used half cashews and half almond pulp and they turned out wonderfully. Wow! NOW I understand what the fuss was all about! LOL

The chocolate batter was quite a quite a bit drier than the lemon one (should I have soaked the raisins?) and they looked more like "crunchies" than chewies but Don just had one and said they're chewy inside. Yay! He also said these are his favorites so far and that's saying a lot! Specially when the previous favorite was your Nut crumble cookies! LOL

My turn to try one now...
