View Full Version : Anyone from South West Florida?

I was wondering if anyone is from the Sarasota, Venice, Englewood or Port Charlotte area? In a few weeks I am flying home and I was wondering if anyone knows of a health store in this area? I can not bring my dehydrator or juicer with me on the plane so I need to find a health store.. If anyone knows of one please let me know...

Sure! Sun Splash is the best one nearby as far as organic. It's in Port Charlotte and is like a mini Whole Foods (a very mini Whole foods). Then, there's Richard's in town and Sheckler produce on 776. Sheckler's doesn't have a whole lot of organic but it's fresh and the prices are unbeatable.

they list the health food stores (as well as the vege restaurants) in most cities in the world.

I just checked. that and am surprised to find no listing for any of the areas that you mentioned. They must not be very interested in health in that region. If you find something then you should notify that site so that they can update. I find it a very usefull resource when I am travelling.

Thanks Sport.. I did try to do a search online, but couldn't find anything.. I did find a few in Tampa, but that was it. That's a couple hours away and a long drive. I will let the site know of any I find.. Thanks for that tip on the website... I travel to Dallas and Austin often so I will have to look up some places there...

Hey RawNut.. I wanted to let you know that our old High School Band (LBHS) is playing in the half time show at the Orange Bowl on January 2nd in Miami.. You remember my daughter Cassie right? Well she will be in the show. She is in the Color Guard and also plays Flute.. I already have my DVR set to record it.. I just thought it was cool that is our old high school...
