View Full Version : Organic Wheatgrass powder?
Has anyone used organic wheatgrass powder? I don't grow wheatgrass as of yet and I want the benifits right now. I also don't have a wheatgrass juicer as of yet either. lol ... That's probably the main reason I don't grow wheatgrass yet... lmao

hi doit ,
never used the powder .
but i grow wheat grass in plastic dish
pans with 4" of soil , then in about a
week when grass is about 5" i cut off
at soil level with scissors about 150
blades per half blender of water . i cut
the blades into half inch bits with
scissors before putting into (i just hold
the whole bunch of grass over blender
and cut it right into blender) blender or
theyll wrap around blade and bog it .
then blend on high for a minute . then let
sit say 10 minutes to allow nutrients to
seep out of grass . then strain out grass
blades and you have a very nutrient rich
wheat grass water .
cheers :)
wow... thank you... I've never heard of doing it that way before. I do plan on getting a wheatgrass juicer though. Do you get more than one cutting from the grass? I've heard you can, but for the most part I've read that they just get one cutting. That's where the confusion sets in.
Thank you again.

ide bet if you put like 6 inches of soil in the dish pan youd get a few cuttings but i just use 3 inches of soil which gets completely over grown with roots which then leaves the grass without anything to grow on so it fades .
but i sprinkle the seeds at a rate of 1 per quarter inch so theres alot of blades growing in each pan so they last several days each .
then before that batch goes i already have another pan going to replace it so i dont care how many cuttings i get per tray .
then after winter can grow outdoors .
cheers :)
Thanks again... I have a manual wheatgrass juicer coming in the mail. I sure hope I like the taste of it.

I use wheat grass powder from a place. It is fresh dried never heated. If you would like the name email and I will tell you don't know if I am suppose to give out names here.
