I am going to order one on-line over the next few days as I'm sure I'll use it every day - hang the expense.

My smoothies will be really smooth but ....... what else can I use it for (apart from mashed parsnips)???? I have Alissa's book and a couple of others but I want to hear from the experienced raw fooders what Vitamix recipes they use most regularly.

Thanks.

Greeeat raw chocolate pudding! Creamy and smooth...ive made nut butters in it too.

Oh, and any creamy dressings i always do in the vita mix.

have fun! ive had mine for 6 years and its going strong. Plus, there is a good warranty so if something breaks, they will replace it. Ive had one encounter with that (probably just from me overusing it)...and all is well.

...Soups (creamy and warm), salad dressings, super smooth cheeze sauces, smoothies, shakes, nut milks, chocolate sauce, grinding flax seeds (don't even have the 5000 model with the "wet" and "dry" containers...just have the one Alissa sells with one container and it works fine!)

I find the same thing... there's no need for the extra containers. One does it all. I even grind buckwheat flour.

For us it's chocolate pudding (avocado or chocolate pudding fruit base), cream sauces, tomato sauces, green smoothies and more. I use mine everyday.
