It is with a heavy heart I write my appreciations for today, it has been a very difficult couple of days but I'd like to find the hope in these recent events...

1-over 30 years of memories of a very special man (my step father-in-law) in our family who passed from this life on Friday, thank you for being a unique personality and bringing your experiences into all of our lives, you will be greatly missed.

2-memories of my Uncle (who had a stroke on Thursday) who made 2 little girls giggle and let us just simply enjoy being silly little girls, I hope your recovery is full and complete.

3-memories of my dearest Aunt (and second Mom) that also her recovery will be a swift one (surgery for a very severe bowel blockage) and that she will be home from the care facility as soon as possible, thank you for sharing so many common interests with me as I was growing up and for the fun memories that are flooding my memories this weekend.

4-my dear friend who I saw today (in the same nursing home as my Mom) for a speedy recovery from having a leg amputated. Bless your heart for always being there for me during some of the most difficult times in my life as I appreciate you more than you can ever know. Thank you for loving me and giving me tough love when I needed it, I hope I can be there for you and will in any way that you'll need me.

5-my mother's 86th birthday and her still being here with me.

6-family and friends gathering together during tough times and reminding each other it really will be okay.

7-awesome new renters in 2 of my houses, I appreciate you and your families so very much.

8-family get together tomorrow, appreciation of each other in the middle of some difficult family times.

9-bouncing back!

10-raw foods, the ability to laugh, finding the joy in every situation no matter how difficult, good health, financial independence, confidence that everything really will be okay!

This late evening I'm very grateful for..

- Hearing my sister speaking to my father outside in the living room. We are visiting him (parents divorced) togheter fior the first time in near a year, they have not been speaking for almost as long, and now I hear them laugh together. I am so greatful!

- Having a nice bed top go to sleep in soon, when I'm too tired to post :)

- My whole body aching from killer workouts this week. I am geting stronger and stronger, I aim to do handstands sometime this year

- The wonderful gu-mock-amole I made for dinner (just lemon, avocado and cilantro)(lovley)

- Having one week holiday beginning on monday

- Being on this site, posting in this thread. I love reading about raw!

- My confidence getting better every day

- My skin healing thanks to gained confidence (I used to pick on my acne all the time when I was feeling depressed or low, which ofcourse made everything worse)

1) I am in bed reading.. my son across the room in his bed, and out of nowheere he states, "Mommy, I would give you my whole heart, cause you the BEST mommy I ever had". (Wow)
2) Its 5:47 AM this morning, I hear the covers rustle from across the darkened room, and I hear "Mommy, I LOVE you", and then he's back fast asleep.. (I get up out of bed with tears in my eyes and kiss my LOVING son on the forehead, as he drifts back to sleep). (I am BLESSED).
3) Its Wednesday morning and I am the receptor of #1 & #2 above, and its just really hitting me once again of my Son's LOVE for me.......

This morning I am so grateful for:

- this terrible detox headache, since it's my body's way of letting me know it's healing itself
- my dh and children for making me laugh while they team up against each other on their computer games
- Adrienne's list for making me giggle
- the rain coming down because it brings forth new life
- smoothies in the a.m. cause they are SO good!
- my Vitamix, it's been so good to me and continues to be so
- re-reading LOLF cause I'm seeing things again that I forgot were there and were the same as what I've heard about "The Secret"
- having the ability to still be amazed at life and all it has to offer
- my son with autism, he is love and life and light
- my daughter, for being a chip off the 'ol block
- my oldest son, he is so beautiful and brilliant, and creative
- my dh for being so understanding, supportive, and being a good man that isn't afraid to let me follow my dreams and soar
- mini trampolines, cause they are so much fun!
