I've caught a cold and desire to get rid of it as soon as possible. What would be best - juice or green drinks? Thanks for your input.

Hi Joyful Mary... I like green juices for detoxing but, don't know what would be best.
I think going on juices to heal up quickly is a great idea!

Dear Joyful Mary-i Had A Broccoli Booster Last Nite-i Don't Know If It Will Help...i Am New At This But I Juiced 4 And 1/2 Oz. Of Broccoli Flowerettes And 2 Eating Apples And One Tablespoon Of Lemon Juice.it Was So Good.the Broccoli Had Anti-viral And Anti-bacterial Elements In It-so It Seems It May Be Good For Warding Off A Cold Or Helping To Get Ridof One. I Am New And I Went To The Book Store Yesterday And See There Is Books To Buy On The Healing Jucies For Certain Illnesses.i Need To Get It. Like My Daughter Thinks She Has An Ulcer-i Read Cabbage Juice Helps This.not A Cure Maybe But Helpful.so I Am Learning.take Care-taylor

I herd grapes are great for cures... try juiceing them (or eating whole if u like).

You may want to try Oranges and apples together. These two have a lot of vitamin c's in them. You can toss in some blueberries too or anything else that has great beneficial properties to fight sickness.
try one medium to large apple and one large orange or two mediums. You should get between 6 to 8 ounces to delicious juice. Do this twice a day for a week and then juice once a morning to stave off a cold. I would have been sick if I had not been juicing. I have been trying to get sick now for about a week but the juices are helping me fight off the symptoms.
Sometimes, its kind of hard to distinguish between fibromyalgia but either way I am not coming down with any attacks right now.

Personally, I would vote towards the juices of fruits.
Tangerines are excellent when juiced! Good ole lemon water and lots of rest.
Rosemary/eucalyptus face steam.

I'd say juicing, too. You're not tying your system down with fiber that way therefore your organs will be getting more rest. Coming off a cold now and really did not have much of an appetite. Did have two red grapefruits juiced every morning which was refreshing and healthful.
