Natural Zing Carob Powder Huge Disappointment

I am a huge lover of carob powder & normally find it makes an excellent chocolate replacement esp. for ice cream. However I just tried Natural Zing's & was extremely disappointed to find that it is not the same as other raw carob powders. It can make a very light chocolately flavor, but doesn't even come close to the fudgey chocolate I'm use to. For those who have only tried this brand (or Gold Mine, which I think is the supplier) & didn't like it, you may want to try it again from another source.

which source would you recommend? -- i've only tried gold mine. also, do you know a source for good whole carob pods, a fav from childhood :)

Hi Shelah! :) Glaser Farms & Sweetwater Market are the two I've used that taste great. Hopefully you'll enjoy them as much as I do.

Carob pods can be found at Americanspice.com, but I don't believe they're raw or organic, if that matters to you.
