Hi all,

I am seven weeks pregnant and am struggling with all day nausea. This is my second baby, my first one is almost 4 now, but I don't remember my nausea being this bad with her. It seems that if I eat a small cookie or drink a glass of soda, I feel much better.. I think my nausea is being caused by low blood sugar, which I always tend to have a problem with. Anyone know the cause of this, or have you struggled with it through pregnancy??? Any remedy suggestions? Thanks for your help!

Hypoglycemia is thought by some to be a precursor to diabetes. I had it and now I have diabetes. It's very easy to tell if that is the cause or not. Get yourself a blood glucose meter and some strips. Test yourself and if <80, you do have hypoglycemia. These are available at all drugstores and are usually covered by insurance if you can get your Dr. to prescribe one.

I had gestational diabetes early on in my pregnancy. Actually it was so early I suspect it was in fact type 2. I had to be very careful not to allow more than 4 hours between meals or I'd have trouble. I'd also have to eat a few bites of something between meals if I wass active.
