I am new to raw food.........is there someone in the fort Lauderdale, florida area out there.......I am finding it hard to take food for my long 12 hour shifts

12 hour shifts? That would be hard. Fruit keeps best in several different temperatures. You can always make your own raw bars at home or buy a raw bar from the stores under $3 and its a meal replacement. It can be hard but dont give up :o

Do you have access to a fridge or can you bring a cooler? If so, you can make simple raw soups & other meals. Other possibilities-salads, nori or lettuce wraps, avocado w/salt. Whole Foods has a mini raw section where you can buy some ready made items. You can also order various things on-line.

I am not in your area but I have a new view on food for work. Right now I am not having 12's although I should be. I am just taking a few pieces of food - say an avocado, an apple - things like that....most of my cooler is water and superfood drink and juice drinks that will keep. I am trying to keep my energy up by not eating while at work....and so far it is working. I don't however, have a physical job....and that might make a difference. I also have an older metabolism so I eat less than I did when young.
