Does dehydrator comsume a lot of energy? Did your energy bill go up?
In my appartment utilities are included with the rent so I can dehydrate all I want for now. My mom lives in a house does not want to start dehydrating because she thinks that her energy bill will be huge. Is this true?

The dehyrdator has got to be one of the lowest appliances you can run. It is a tiny fan with a little bitty heating element, that is all.

I wondered this too. To have a machine running for 24 hours at a time, it probably would be the same as having an A/C running wouldn't it? :p

That is great news!

This is not even close to running a regular heater or AC, that heats of up the whole house.

All it takes is a little fan to ciruclate air around no more than a cubic foot of space. The heat is very low as well. It doesn't even come close to a room heater, as the air and heat is contained in such a small area.
