We LOVE crackers, especially the Onion Bread with its many variations that is so popular on this board. Just one annoyance though, my dehydrator gets a gunky residue from the oil. I think it would even if I didn't use oil in the mixture, since there is so much flax, sunflower and sesame seeds in there. This yukky oil residue doesn't seem to want to come completely off, even when washed with soap and a dish brush. It feels clean, then after it sits awhile, I can feel this junk.

Suggestions?

I had that problem from coconut oil. I finally got it off after wiping many times with paper towels, then rewashing with a mix of dish soap and baking soda, but I had to wash them twice.

I thought boiling water and soap removes all oil?
