Hello my name is Sarah and I live in the Pacific Northwest. My husband and I have been eating less meats and more veggies for awhile but just recently started looking into the raw diet. We have challenged eachother to go raw for the month of January just to see 'what happens'. Neither of us have an chronic illnesses that we are battling but both have some weight to lose and would like to not be dealing with any diseases and whatnot in our future.

Mostly I'm wanting to get some things in order for our January journey; some meal plans and shopping lists to get us started. I don't want to be feeling horrible due to my own lack of knowledge and not balancing the right combinations of foods but I also don't want to read everything today to prepare (I'd rather read as I'm on the journey and add to what we are already doing).

We have 3 children ages 6 and under so that is a factor. We will not 'require' them to eat raw with us but they will be offered everything we are eating/drinking.

Any help on our journey, and especially in prep for our journey, is greatly appreciated. I'd love to have some easy recipes (we have an Omega juicer) and meal plans to get started. I would love to try some stuff now as side dishes to experiment.

Thank you,
Sarah

What a perfect time to start, when your body just wants you to Love it, when it is not under attack from any foreign countries......

PREPERATION is the Key, whether preparing Food or preparing your mind thus I think you should be Reading everything you can about RAW Now. I was soooo Hungry for imformation, I ate every Book, well I Read but it was like my fix, I needed to READ. I learned Much and I learned the right way.

But in RAWCountry we say this is YOUR Journey and you travel as you choose. There are NO RAW Police here. You are doing such a GREAT thing, your Husband and Yourself, going RAW.

Your Children will Learn by example and I could not agree with you More. Your decision will change Generations and that's AMAZING......

Alissa Cohen the Creator of this site has a Book "Living on Live Food" that you can order from this site, you can also read portions of it here. Use the Search at the top of this page to find old Threads, Recipes and all sorts of FUN Things.

I look forward to hearing All about your Journey. Please use this Form for all the aid and assistance you will need. Just post a thread and someone will be more than willing to give you advice and insight.

I wish you everything you need to Stay RAW......Welcome to MY World.....
