Hello, I just wanted to introduce myself. I am a 23 years old female from Sweden who has been eating raw foods for about nine months now.
I“ve been diagnosed with a rheumatic disease and my doctors have told me that it is chronic and that I probably have to eat medicines for more or less the rest of my life. Since going raw my disease have approved significantly and after just two months on raw I was able to completely stop taking those "necessary" antiinflammatory drugs that I was so heavily depending on before. I feel like I“ve got a new chance in life and I feel like I am a totally new (and much improved!) person. My health is greater now than it ever was before. Just wanted to share this with everyone, so that perhaps someone out there could benefit from my success. Best wishes! /Trolltyget

Wow, that's awesome Trolltyget! :)

When I was 17 I was diagnosed with Lupus and would get very sore, very swollen joints. I too was told by my doctor that I would have to take medicines for the rest of my life. I was put on a somewhat raw diet (about 75%) and my conditions improved dramatically. Too bad I didn't continue to stick with raw after I reached remission..... Oh well, I'm back at 'er!

Thanks for your wonderful post.

Good for you :D
I had wondered if I had rheumatic disease too. I went to the doctor to check for arthritis one time because I had dropped a cup of coffee because my hand lost support of the cup due to stiffness in my hand. For several years I've been haunted by joint pain and stiffness in my hands and the joint pain recently went into my knees this month and since being raw 9 days its gone.
My doctor says I dont have arthritis but rather just inflamation in my joints. I haven't had much problem with it since going raw and Im 24 years old. I dont need joint problems!! Good luck. :)

That is such good news. I watched a thing on t.v. where a girl in her late 20's was diagnosed with RA and she went to health retreat. They found that she was allergic to gluten. When she stopped eating it her symptoms improved by 95%. I admire that you have taken natural steps towards healing your body.
Best wishes
